Angry Gran Run
Chaotic endless runner with crazy grannies and city mayhem
Angry Gran Run takes the familiar endless runner formula and gives it a delightfully unhinged twist: your protagonist is a furious grandma fresh out of an asylum, tearing through busy city streets and smashing anything in her way. It is simple, loud, and gleefully over the top.
Gameplay sticks to classic swipe controls: swipe left or right to switch lanes, up to jump, and down to slide under obstacles. The levels are packed with hazards like cars, buses, barriers and even bizarre surprises like aliens and dinosaurs. New cities, including New York and Rome, keep the scenery changing, and the game regularly rotates locations to stop things feeling too stale.
One of the biggest charms here is customization. You can dress Gran in a wide range of costumes, from a 70s hippy to a superhero-inspired “Wonder Gran,” a zombie, or even a penguin. Power-ups such as Bullet-Time and Invincible Shields add extra strategy, letting you push for higher scores and longer runs. The addition of robot enemies you can bash for coins provides a fun risk-reward element mid-run.
Visually, Angry Gran Run favors bright, cartoony graphics over realism. It is not the most modern-looking runner, but the exaggerated animations and slapstick style fit the comedic tone. The audio leans into chaos with energetic music and silly sound effects that underline the game’s wacky personality.
On the downside, repetition does creep in during longer sessions, and ads plus in-app purchases can feel a little intrusive. Still, for quick bursts of arcade fun with plenty of humor, Angry Gran Run is an entertaining and accessible choice, especially if you enjoy endless runners that do not take themselves seriously.
