DanMachi BATTLE CHRONICLE
Fast paced DanMachi battles with rich story and 3D flair
DanMachi BATTLE CHRONICLE brings the beloved dungeon-crawling anime into a glossy 3D action RPG that feels tailor-made for fans of Bell, Hestia, and the rest of Orario’s adventurers. It retells the main story arcs while adding exclusive scenes and fresh camera angles, making familiar moments feel surprisingly new.
Visually, the game leans hard into anime-style 3D models and flashy effects. Character designs are faithful to the source material, and special moves like Firebolt or Lil Rafaga explode across the screen with satisfying impact. The fully voiced dialogue by the original Japanese cast adds a strong sense of authenticity, and the high-quality soundtrack from Basiscape and opening theme by sajou no hana give it the polish of a premium production.
Combat is real-time and intentionally accessible. Basic attacks, dodges, and skills are mapped to simple controls, letting you zip around the battlefield, evade enemy blows, and chain abilities without wrestling with overly complex systems. It’s fun and fast, though at times the visuals and effects can clutter the screen during larger encounters.
Outside the main story, Magic Stone Contests provide an 8-player free-for-all mode where everyone is an enemy and the goal is to collect more stones than your rivals. These short, hectic battle royales add a competitive edge, even if they can feel chaotic and somewhat dependent on character strength.
As expected from a character-collecting action RPG, progression leans on grinding and gacha-style recruitment. Early rewards are generous, but long-term players will feel the pull of limited banners and resource farming.
For fans of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, this is one of the most faithful and energetic adaptations around. Those simply looking for a slick anime action RPG will also find a lot to enjoy, as long as they are comfortable with a grind-heavy, collection-focused structure.
