Chaotic 2D shooter action with jetpacks friends and big guns

Mini Militia – Doodle Army 2 delivers fast, frantic multiplayer arenas where quick reflexes and clever movement are just as important as good aim. It’s a side‑view shooter that embraces chaos, letting up to six players duke it out across compact, vertical maps packed with ledges, tunnels and hiding spots.

The heart of the experience is its dual‑stick control scheme: one thumb moves your soldier, the other aims and fires. It feels intuitive after a short warm‑up, and the built‑in jetpack adds a satisfying layer of vertical freedom. Learning when to boost, when to drop, and how to flank opponents from above is crucial, and it gives each match a wonderfully acrobatic feel.

There’s plenty of variety in the arsenal. You’ll find everything from shotguns and assault rifles to snipers, flamethrowers and futuristic energy weapons, each with distinct handling and range. Over 20 maps keep things from getting stale, mixing tight corridors with open kill zones that encourage different strategies.

Mini Militia can be enjoyed solo in Survival mode against waves of bots, which is useful for practice, but it clearly shines in online battles with friends or random players. The cartoon visuals are simple yet charming, and they ensure that action stays readable even when explosives, bullets and jet trails fill the screen.

On the downside, matches can occasionally suffer from lag, especially on weaker connections, and the presence of optional in‑game purchases and random items may feel unbalanced to players who prefer a purely skill‑based arena. Ads and rewards can also break the pacing if you just want back‑to‑back firefights.

Still, for anyone looking for lighthearted, pick‑up‑and‑play shooting mayhem with a strong social element, Mini Militia remains a hugely entertaining choice that’s easy to start and hard to put down.
