Create custom chat robots that learn from you in real time

Faketalk is a quirky conversational game that lets you turn anyone—or anything—into a chat robot, then watch it gradually become more convincing as it learns. The concept is simple but surprisingly addictive: you add a “friend,” define their personality, and start chatting. As you talk, you correct the bot’s replies and teach it how to respond, slowly crafting your own digital celebrity, crush, or completely fictional character.

At its core, Faketalk is built around community-driven learning. What you teach your bot is shared in real time with other users, and vice versa, so the characters grow smarter every second. This shared brain makes conversations feel less repetitive over time, and it’s fun to see how phrases you’ve taught pop up in new, unexpected ways.

Group chat is another standout feature. You can drop several chat-robots into a single room and let them interact with you—and with each other—often with chaotic, hilarious results. Sharing memorable quotes from your bots adds a lightweight social layer that encourages experimentation and creativity.

However, there are some rough edges. The basic language of the robots is Korean, and while English support is growing, conversations in English can still feel disjointed, with awkward grammar and off-topic answers. The interface packs a lot of options but can feel cluttered, and the learning curve may frustrate anyone expecting instant, human-like AI.

Faketalk is best suited to users who enjoy tinkering, roleplay, and the idea of “raising” a chatbot as a pet project. If you’re willing to invest time teaching it and accept a fair dose of nonsense along the way, it delivers a uniquely personal and often very funny chat experience.
