The built-in cruise countdown is a fun touch for sharing the anticipation with friends and family.

Once on board and connected to Carnival’s Wi-Fi (no internet package required), Carnival HUB really shines. A clear, chronological schedule lays out hundreds of daily activities, from shows and trivia to fitness classes. You can favorite events and receive reminders, which makes it much easier to avoid missing that one must-see performance. The searchable deck plans are especially helpful on larger ships, highlighting key venues so you’re not wandering around trying to find the main dining room.

Practical tools are well covered: live Sail & Sign account balance, current ship time, port arrival and departure times, and the dress code for each evening. Dining information is also robust, with opening hours and menus at a glance, reducing the “where should we eat next?” debate. On select ships, the option to order pizza for delivery almost anywhere on board is a quirky but genuinely handy feature.

The paid chat function for messaging fellow guests works, though it would be nice to see richer features like photo sharing and group management. Some users may also wish for more detailed port information beyond excursions.
