Tactical dice battles with deep replayable strategy

Slice & Dice is a clever turn-based roguelike that turns every combat round into a tense, brain-teasing puzzle. Controlling a party of five heroes, each represented by their own custom dice, you face a gauntlet of 20 increasingly dangerous encounters where a single loss sends you back to the start. It sounds brutal, but the design is so tight and transparent that every defeat feels like a lesson rather than bad luck.

At the heart of the experience are the 3D dice rolls. You can see exactly what each face does, which enemies are targeting whom, and how much damage or defense is in play. On your turn, you decide which dice to keep, which to reroll, and how to allocate the resulting abilities. Because you can undo actions freely within the turn, each round becomes a compact strategy puzzle: experiment, optimize, then commit.

The amount of content is impressive. With 128 hero classes, 67 monsters, 474 items, and over 300 difficulty modifiers, each run throws up wildly different team compositions and item synergies. Extra modes, including an endless-style curse mode and online leaderboards, keep things fresh once you have beaten the standard run.

Presentation is clean and readable, favoring clarity over flashy effects, and it works comfortably in both portrait and landscape. The absence of ads is a refreshing change, and the business model is refreshingly straightforward: a generous free demo and a single purchase to unlock everything, with no intrusive microtransactions.

Slice & Dice will not appeal to those looking for quick, mindless action, but for strategy fans who enjoy thoughtful, turn-based play and meaningful randomness, it is one of the most polished and replayable dice battlers available.
