The core loop is simple but addictive: eat smaller creatures and objects to grow, then tackle bigger targets as your size increases. Levels are short and fast-paced, which makes it dangerously easy to play “just one more” round. Each stage has clear size milestones and optional performance goals, giving you a reason to replay and perfect your runs.

Variety comes from the three playable characters. The goldfish offers a lighthearted introduction, the dolphin adds a fun revenge narrative as it escapes an aquarium, and the nano-tech shark is a wonderfully over-the-top finale that feels like pure power fantasy. Each character shares the same basic mechanics but with unique scenarios and escalating destruction that keep things fresh.

Controls are straightforward and responsive: you simply steer your creature, time your lunges, and stay aware of larger predators and hazards. The game’s physics-driven chaos—schools of fish scattering, ships bobbing, and panicked swimmers—adds a satisfying sense of impact to every bite.

Visually, Tasty Blue uses a bright, cartoony art style that matches its silly premise. The humor is constant, from the story cutscenes to the ridiculous scale your character eventually reaches. Music and sound effects are upbeat and whimsical, reinforcing the light, arcade feel.
