Garten of Banban 3 pushes the series’ mascot horror formula deeper underground, literally and figuratively, delivering a creepier, more elaborate chapter in Banban’s Kindergarten. You once again descend into the eerie facility in search of your missing child, trading cheerful murals and toy-like mascots for darker corridors, larger arenas, and more complex puzzles.

The core loop blends exploration, light platforming, and puzzle solving, punctuated by chase sequences and jump scares. Your trusty drone companion returns, used to hit distant switches, distract threats, and solve environmental challenges. The level design is more ambitious than in earlier entries, with multi-stage objectives and areas that feel interconnected rather than just a series of rooms.

Visually, the contrast remains the game’s strongest hook: bright, almost cartoonish mascots roaming suffocating, industrial backrooms. The art direction leans hard into unsettling color palettes and distorted children’s iconography, and it generally pays off. Performance is stable, and the touch controls are functional, though they can feel imprecise during tighter platforming segments or frantic escapes.

Sound design underlines the tension with echoing footsteps, distant metallic clanks, and sudden stingers that make encounters with familiar “friends” even more unnerving. Multiple language options, from English and Spanish to Japanese, Korean, and more, make the experience widely accessible.

On the downside, Garten of Banban 3 is still relatively short, and some of its scares rely on trial-and-error sequences that may frustrate players who dislike repetition. A few puzzles are more about guessing the designer’s intent than genuine logic.

For fans of the series and mascot horror in general, this is a solid, more polished continuation that meaningfully expands Banban’s Kindergarten, even if it doesn’t revolutionize the formula.
