Ninja Fishing
Ninja Fishing blends arcade slicing with deep sea collecting
Ninja Fishing takes a wonderfully simple idea and layers it with enough twists, upgrades, and collectibles to keep you hooked far longer than you’d expect. You play as Otoro, an endearingly lazy ninja whose true talent lies not in combat, but in hauling absurd amounts of fish from the depths.
The gameplay is split into three snappy phases: cast your line and guide the hook down while dodging fish, reel it back up while snagging as many as you can with tilt controls, then slice your airborne catch to pieces in a Fruit Ninja–style flurry. It’s a neat loop that feels immediately satisfying, and runs are short enough to make “just one more try” dangerously tempting.
Progression is where Ninja Fishing really shines. The gold you earn lets you buy better boats, longer lines, sharper katanas, and helpful guides, steadily pushing you deeper into the ocean. With more than 130 fish species and over 80 treasures to discover across multiple themed islands, there’s a strong sense of collection and completion that rewards persistence.
Visually, the game is charming and polished, with crisp, colorful art and playful animations that make every catch feel rewarding. The upbeat sound effects and cheery music fit the lighthearted tone perfectly.
On the downside, the core loop can become repetitive during longer sessions, and the grind for gold will nudge some players toward in‑app purchases. If you’re not into chasing high scores or filling collections, the novelty may wear off sooner.
Still, for anyone who enjoys quick-fire arcade games with a strong progression hook, Ninja Fishing is a delightfully addictive mix of fishing, slashing, and collecting that’s easy to recommend.
