Accuracy is generally excellent, and the prediction engine adapts over time to your writing style. When typing isn’t convenient, the voice typing is impressively fast and usually understands natural speech, even with mild background noise.

Where Gboard really stands out is in its smart extras. Built‑in Google Translate can convert what you type into another language on the fly, which is extremely handy for chatting or drafting quick messages in languages you don’t fully master. Multilingual typing means you can switch between languages in one sentence without constantly changing keyboard layouts, and it will still autocorrect and suggest words appropriately.

On the downside, Gboard can feel slightly heavy on older or very low‑end devices, especially when using GIFs or advanced features. Some users may also be cautious about entrusting all their typed text to a Google product, even though sensitive data like passwords is kept separate.
