Switching between automated and manual modes is straightforward, and Activity-style settings help reduce insulin when you expect more variability, such as during exercise.

There are important caveats. Omnipod 5 is prescription-only, intended for people with Type 1 diabetes aged two and older, and only works with compatible U-100 insulins and supported smartphones. Because it relies on wireless communication with both Pod and CGM, occasional connectivity hiccups can occur, demanding attention at inconvenient moments.
