Breed mighty dragons and command Atlantis in rich 3D strategy

Dragons (Dragons of Atlantis: Heirs of the Dragon) blends city-building, online strategy, and creature collecting into an ambitious fantasy package where your ultimate goal is simple: raise an unstoppable brood of dragons and reclaim the lost realm of Atlantis.

You start with a ruined city and a fragile hatchling. From there, the game follows the classic build-and-upgrade formula: gather resources, construct buildings, research ancient technologies, and steadily expand your kingdom. The twist lies in your dragons. Each one is fully 3D, animated, and customizable, evolving as you unlock new abilities and gear. Watching your dragon grow from a tiny whelp into a towering war machine is genuinely satisfying and adds a personal touch to your army.

Battles play out on a broad campaign map against the Anthropus and other threats, while PvP brings competitive depth through head-to-head dragon clashes and large-scale kingdom wars. Alliances are central: coordinated attacks, shared strategy in chat, and group events make the game feel active and social, especially once you join a dedicated clan.

Visually, the dragons remain the stars, with their detailed models and flashy attack animations, even if the surrounding environments now look a bit dated compared with newer strategy titles. The usual free-to-play caveats apply: build timers quickly become lengthy, and premium currency significantly speeds progression. You can play for free, but patience is essential if you don’t intend to pay.

For fans of long-term kingdom management and fantasy warfare, Dragons offers a compelling loop of growth, alliance politics, and dragon evolution. It’s not the most original strategy game, but the focus on raising and showcasing your own customized dragons gives it a distinctive, addictive charm.
