Ares: Rise of Guardians throws you straight into a far-future solar system war, and its first impression is all about scale and spectacle. The game leans heavily into a console-like feel, with richly detailed environments, cinematic cutscenes, and flashy skill effects that make battles feel genuinely epic.

Combat is its standout feature. The non-targeting system lets you freely swing, dash, and dodge, rewarding good positioning and reflexes rather than simple auto-locking. Add in the real-time suit change mechanic and fights become fast, flexible, and surprisingly strategic. Swapping on the fly between Hunter, Warlock, Warlord, and Engineer suits lets you adapt to each encounter, mixing long-range bursts, tanky frontlines, and support-style tools as needed.
