Powerful browser with full extension support

Lemur Browser aims to bring the full desktop-style browsing experience to your device, and it comes surprisingly close thanks to broad support for extensions and strong performance.

Built on a recent Chromium engine with Blink and V8 under the hood, Lemur Browser feels instantly familiar. Pages load quickly, scrolling is smooth, and compatibility with modern sites is excellent. Where it really stands out, though, is extension support: you can install add-ons from the Chrome Web Store and Microsoft Edge’s catalog, plus popular tools like Tampermonkey, ad blockers, translation helpers, grammar checkers, Dark Reader, and password managers such as Bitwarden. Power users can even import local CRX files, which is rare outside of desktop browsers.

Extension management is handled cleanly with options to disable or uninstall add-ons, helping you keep things tidy and avoid performance bloat. Search engine controls are another highlight: while Baidu is the default, switching to Google, DuckDuckGo, Yandex, Bing, and others takes just a couple of taps, and you can define a custom engine if you prefer.

On the visual side, Lemur Browser leans into personalization. The start page supports a rich set of HD wallpapers from Unsplash, covering nature, anime, sports, and more, or you can upload your own background. Quick-access icons on the homepage make it easy to build a dashboard for your most-used sites.

The trade-offs mainly concern complexity and potential resource use: heavy extension stacks can slow things down, and newcomers might feel overwhelmed by the options. Still, for users who want a customizable, extension-friendly browser that behaves much like a desktop counterpart, Lemur Browser is an impressive and flexible option.
