Stick War: Legacy turns a minimalist stick-figure battlefield into a surprisingly deep real-time strategy experience. You command the Order Empire in the war-torn world of Inamorta, juggling economy, army composition, and tight tactical choices in fast-paced side-scrolling battles.

The core loop is wonderfully straightforward: send workers to mine gold, then spend it on swordsmen, spearmen, archers, mages, and towering giants. You can let the AI control your formations or take direct command of individual units for precise maneuvers, like manually kiting with archers or timing a giant’s devastating swings. This blend of macro and micro makes each match feel tense and rewarding.

The classic Campaign mode is still the highlight, now expanded with bonus levels that flesh out the story of rival nations obsessed with their own weapon technologies. Missions Mode adds bite-sized challenges with varied objectives, such as surviving until sunset or defending triple-barricaded gold mines. Weekly new levels and multiple difficulty settings, each with crowns to unlock, give it strong replay value.

Endless Deads, a zombie survival mode, and Tournament mode against AI challengers further extend the lifespan. Skins for every unit, each with unique perks, add another layer of progression, though they can make the game feel slightly grindy if you want everything.

Visually, it remains simple but stylish. Improved blood effects, arrows sticking into units, and smoother animations give battles more weight without sacrificing clarity. Touch controls are generally accurate, though selecting the right unit in hectic moments can occasionally feel fiddly.

Stick War: Legacy is an excellent choice for strategy fans who enjoy quick, tactical battles with plenty of modes and a satisfying sense of progression.
