bebird
See inside your ears clearly with Bebird live video
Bebird is the companion software for Bebird’s WiFi otoscope, turning your phone into a tiny, guided camera for your ears. It streams a live video feed from the ear-picking device, letting you see exactly what you’re doing and making the whole process much more controlled than using traditional cotton swabs blindly.
Once the device is connected over WiFi, the app immediately displays a real-time image from the camera. Latency is generally low, so movements of the otoscope feel closely in sync with what you see on screen. The interface is stripped-down but intuitive: the main controls for taking photos and recording video are always visible, and there’s no clutter to get in the way when you’re focusing on delicate work.
A standout feature is gesture-based zoom during preview. You can pinch to enlarge the image, which is crucial when you’re trying to inspect tiny details like earwax buildup or irritation on the canal wall. The ability to capture both photos and videos, then play them back later, is especially useful if you want to track changes over time or show footage to a healthcare professional.
On the downside, Bebird is very specialized. It’s essentially useless without the specific Bebird hardware, and there are limited settings for fine-tuning image quality or network performance. The design also feels somewhat basic, with few customization options beyond the core tools.
Still, Bebird does what it promises. If you own a compatible Bebird otoscope and want a clearer, safer way to manage ear hygiene or simply check what’s going on inside your ears, this app is a focused, practical companion that makes the process more precise and reassuring.
