Ninja Must Die is a fast-paced action runner that blends parkour, combat, and storytelling into a surprisingly deep experience. At its core, you’re constantly sprinting across horizontal stages, vaulting over obstacles, wall-running, and double-jumping while unleashing ninjutsu and weapon skills against demons, samurai, and colossal bosses.

The game’s standout feature is its gorgeous ink-wash visual style, which looks like a living scroll painting. Characters, enemies, and environments pop with bold brush strokes and dramatic color accents, making every run feel like an animated manga battle. Performance is smooth, even during chaotic moments filled with projectiles, traps, and giant boss attacks.

Combat is more involved than typical endless runners. You can equip different weapons, artifacts, and ninjutsu to build specialized loadouts, and the roster of ninjas each offer unique playstyles. The latest addition, Koi, is a fire-focused T0 ninja with multiple selectable skills, allowing you to tailor her abilities to each stage. Her dedicated Dual Koi Blades weapon doubles down on speed and damage, and her limited Magenta Blossom skin adds flair for collectors.

The ongoing 2.5th Anniversary celebration is generous, with sign-in rewards including SSR weapons, themed skins like Koi & Shihara, and multiple draws for both Koi and her Dual Koi Blades. Long-term players will also appreciate the new Chapter 13 story, which advances the central conflict over the mysterious Yang Sword and brings back familiar faces.

On the downside, Ninja Must Die leans heavily into gacha and progression systems, so unlocking top-tier gear and ninjas can feel grindy if you prefer to play casually. Still, for those who enjoy stylish runners with RPG depth and regular events, it offers a rich, polished and highly replayable experience.
