You begin by choosing from five distinct classes, each with its own skills and playstyle. From there, the game throws you into compact, Diablo-inspired dungeons where the screen quickly fills with enemy projectiles. Dodging dense barrages while timing skills and positioning turns every run into a satisfying test of reflexes and planning.

Progression is where My Heroes truly leans into RPG depth. There are over a hundred mythic gear pieces and a wide selection of class weapons and professional skills to mix and match. Experimenting with synergies—such as stacking crit bonuses, leaning into elemental effects, or building around pets—keeps character growth engaging rather than just a simple numbers climb.

Multiplayer is another strong pillar. Teaming up with friends or other players for raids, Hunting Grounds, and Arena battles makes the grind feel more social, and coordinated runs become surprisingly tactical. Hero’s Town acts as a cozy hub, complete with pets, outfits, avatars, and cosmetic flourishes that give your hero a bit of personality.

On the downside, the free-to-play structure brings a fair amount of repetition. Chasing optimal gear and skills can feel grind-heavy, especially for players who want to reach the top of the rankings. The pixel visuals, while stylish, can also become visually noisy during intense barrages.
