Instant AR measurements with your Samsung camera

Quick Measure turns your Samsung device into a versatile digital tape measure, using augmented reality to estimate distances, areas and even human height in real time. It’s a practical utility for those everyday “will this fit here?” moments, wrapped in a clean, easy-to-use interface.

The app’s core strength is how quickly it delivers results. Just point your camera at a surface or object and Quick Measure overlays measurements directly on the live view. On devices equipped with a DepthVision camera, it becomes even more powerful, adding 3D measurement of length, width and height. This makes it especially handy for checking furniture dimensions, boxes, or any irregular object you can’t easily size with a regular ruler.

Even without DepthVision hardware, you still get distance, length, area and human height measurement. Picking two points on screen to measure between them feels intuitive, and the visual guides are clear enough that beginners should be comfortable within minutes. The human height tool is a fun extra that can also be surprisingly useful when shopping for clothes or sports gear.

Accuracy is generally good for quick estimates, but like most AR tools, it depends on lighting, contrast and how steady you hold your device. It’s fine for home use, rearranging rooms, or DIY planning, but not a replacement for professional measuring equipment where millimeter precision is critical.

The main downside is hardware dependence: features vary depending on whether your device includes a DepthVision camera, and the app is limited to compatible Samsung models. Still, for those who can run it, Quick Measure is a slick, reliable way to get instant measurements without rummaging for a physical tape measure.
