Automatic activity detection works well for everyday movement, while dedicated modes cover running, cycling, swimming, gym workouts, and even sessions on compatible Life Fitness or Technogym equipment when paired with a Galaxy Watch.

Beyond exercise, Samsung Health doubles as a basic food and weight manager. You can log meals and snacks, track calories, and keep an eye on your progress over time. Sleep tracking becomes much more detailed with a Galaxy Watch, offering sleep stages, scores, and tips that can meaningfully nudge you toward better rest.

The main drawback is that the most advanced features are tightly linked to Samsung’s own devices, so users of other hardware may feel they are only seeing half of what the app can do.
