Flexible music speed and pitch editor for precise practice

Up Tempo is a focused, musician-friendly tool that makes it easy to reshape any track’s tempo and pitch without sacrificing clarity. Whether you’re slowing down a blisteringly fast solo, retuning a song to match your instrument, or crafting nightcore-style edits, it gives you the key controls right up front.

The interface is clean and deliberately simple. A prominent waveform dominates the screen, letting you see exactly where you are in a track and jump to specific sections with a tap. Pinch-to-zoom on the waveform is especially handy when you need to set ultra-precise loop points for a tricky bar or phrase. Loop creation is accurate and fast, and you can store these loops along with your tempo and pitch settings for future practice sessions.

Up Tempo’s real-time processing works well: changes in speed or pitch are applied instantly, so you can experiment on the fly without long rendering delays. Audio quality holds up impressively at moderate adjustments, with minimal artifacts when slowing tracks for practice or tightening them slightly for performance prep. Extreme changes can still sound unnatural, but that’s expected with any time-stretching tool.

Beyond music, Up Tempo is surprisingly useful for spoken audio. Slowing podcasts or voice notes for detailed transcription, or speeding them up to skim content, is straightforward and intuitive. Exporting your adjusted track is just a couple of taps, turning quick experiments into shareable, usable files.

Some of the more advanced tools—like bass cut, center/sides isolation, and an equalizer—are reserved for the Pro version, and the app isn’t meant to replace a full studio editor. However, for targeted practice, remix experiments, or flexible listening, Up Tempo offers a well-balanced mix of power, precision, and ease of use that will appeal to musicians and casual users alike.
