Neural Cloud is a cyberpunk strategy RPG that blends auto-battler combat with roguelike experimentation and character collecting, wrapped in a surprisingly emotional narrative. Set in a virtual world where AI “Dolls” have been abandoned by humanity, you step in as the Professor, leading the Exiles in a bid to restore system integrity and uncover the truth behind the collapse.

Gameplay revolves around team-based battles on small grids. Units move and attack automatically, but positioning, formation, and skill timing matter a lot. Each stage offers random buffs, events, and routes, giving it a roguelike flavor that keeps runs feeling fresh instead of repetitive. The newer Critical Cascade content and Matrix Mode expand the formula with multi-team deployments and more complex strategic layers.

Where Neural Cloud really shines is its cast. Each Doll comes with distinct classes, roles, and personalities, supported by strong artwork, slick animations, and fully voiced story segments. Their personal stories and hidden pasts are gradually unlocked, making the roster more than just a list of units to power up.

Outside combat, the Oasis base-building system lets you construct and upgrade facilities that boost your squad and provide daily resources. It adds a gentle management sim element without becoming overwhelming. However, the game’s gacha-based recruitment and resource grind will feel familiar to anyone used to free-to-play RPGs; patient players can progress without paying, but some late-game optimization can be time-consuming.
