Glide through a dreamy world of shared exploration

[BETA] Sky: Children of the Li is an evocative social adventure that turns simple flight and cooperation into something surprisingly emotional. From the first moment you step into its pastel skies and candlelit caverns, it’s clear this is designed as an experience as much as a game.

You play as a Child of the Light, gliding through seven painterly realms, gathering fragments of fallen stars and awakening slumbering spirits. Movement feels graceful and intuitive: tapping and holding to soar, spiraling up drafts of wind, and chaining small flights into sweeping arcs. In its best moments, it genuinely feels like you’re painting across the sky.

The social focus is what sets Sky apart. You’ll constantly encounter other players, initially anonymous silhouettes, with relationships deepening as you share light, unlock gestures, play music together, or tackle darker areas in cooperation. The candle-gifting system, where you literally hand over a flicker of your own light to show appreciation, is a lovely touch that encourages kindness instead of competition.

Visually, even in this beta build, the game is stunning. Soft lighting, minimal UI, and carefully composed soundscapes blend with a gentle orchestral score to create an almost meditative atmosphere. It’s a world that invites you to linger rather than rush.

Being a beta, there are caveats. Occasional frame drops, connection hiccups, and minor control quirks can break immersion at times, especially in crowded hubs. Progression can also feel a bit grindy if you aim to unlock every cosmetic or musical instrument.

Still, [BETA] Sky: Children of the Li already feels like something special: a serene, community-driven journey that values shared moments over high scores. If you enjoy quiet exploration, cooperative play, and games that make you feel rather than simply react, it’s well worth stepping into its clouds.
