Zgirls is a post-apocalyptic strategy game that mixes anime aesthetics with classic base-building and light RPG elements. You play as the commander of a fortified school, recruiting and training an all-girl squad to battle swarms of zombies and rival factions.

Gameplay revolves around expanding your campus, upgrading facilities, and assembling teams of heroines with different combat roles. You’ll juggle resource production, research, and defense layouts while sending units out to clear zombie-infested zones on a world map. The loop is straightforward but satisfying: grow stronger, unlock more girls and gear, then tackle tougher enemies and events.

Visually, Zgirls leans heavily into stylized, anime-inspired character art. Each heroine has a distinct look and skill set, and the game doesn’t hide its fan-service angle, which will appeal to some players and put off others. The battlefield visuals and interface are clean enough, though the screen can feel busy once you’ve unlocked multiple systems and menus.

The social layer is a big part of the experience. Joining an alliance lets you cooperate in large-scale battles, trade help with construction timers, and compete against players worldwide. Daily events, timed challenges, and special rewards provide plenty of reasons to log in regularly.

However, the progression is clearly tuned around timers and in-app purchases. Building upgrades and high-tier units can take a long time without spending, and PvP can feel unbalanced when facing heavy spenders. Newcomers might also feel overwhelmed by the number of currencies and overlapping systems.
