Quirky runner turns hair removal into slapstick fun

Take Them Off is a lighthearted endless-runner-style game that turns the “horror” of being a very hairy woman into a silly, fast-paced challenge. Instead of dodging enemies or collecting coins, your goal is to glide down a colorful track, grabbing razors, wax strips and other grooming props to strip away body hair before you reach the finish line.

The core gameplay is simple: you slide your finger left and right to steer your character along the lane, aiming for hair-removal tools while avoiding obstacles and items that make you even hairier. It’s an amusing twist on the typical casual runner formula, and the visual transformation of your character as she becomes smoother or fuzzier is both funny and oddly satisfying.

Visually, Take Them Off leans into a cartoonish, exaggerated style that matches its over-the-top premise. Animations are basic but clear, and it’s always obvious what you should pick up and what you should dodge. The sound design is minimal yet serviceable, with effects that underline the comedy without becoming annoying.

Where the game starts to lose some shine is in its repetition. Levels follow a similar pattern, and once you grasp the core mechanic, there’s little in the way of new challenges, environments or power-ups to keep you hooked for long sessions. Occasional difficulty spikes can also feel unfair, especially when cluttered tracks offer little room for maneuvering.

Overall, Take Them Off works best as a short-burst distraction: a quirky, humorous runner that delivers quick laughs and simple satisfaction, but not much depth beyond its initial gag.
