Long Neck Run
Stretch your neck and reflexes in this quirky obstacle runner
Long Neck Run takes the endless runner formula and gives it a bizarre but charming twist: your success is literally measured in vertebrae. You guide a character through colorful tracks, collecting rings that extend their neck to absurd heights, then cash that height in at the finish line for multipliers, bonuses, and shiny rewards.
Controls are delightfully straightforward. You drag your finger left or right to align with rings of your own color while dodging traps like zip lines, pools, and gaps that demand just the right neck length to clear. The core loop is instantly understandable yet surprisingly satisfying, as every split-second choice affects whether you squeeze through obstacles or get your neck chopped down to size.
Visually, Long Neck Run opts for bright, cartoonish graphics that suit its slapstick concept. The animations of your character stretching, shrinking, and wobbling along the course are amusing and help keep runs from feeling too serious. Unlockable skins—such as rabbits, ninjas, and kings—add extra personality, and the fact that they’re earned through gameplay rather than direct purchases will please players who prefer to grind instead of pay.
However, the game leans heavily on advertising. Interstitial and reward ads appear frequently, which can break the flow of quick sessions. There is a paid, ad-free version that includes a bundle of gems, but if you stick to the free version, be prepared for a very ad-supported experience.
Long Neck Run is best enjoyed in short bursts: it’s simple, goofy, and ideal for quick reflex-testing runs. While repetition and aggressive ads may put off some players, those looking for a light, easy-to-pick-up obstacle runner with a unique hook will find plenty of goofy fun here.
