Real time car diagnostics with customizable dashboards

Torque Lite (OBD2 & Car) turns your Bluetooth OBD2 adapter into a capable on‑board diagnostics cockpit, giving you a clear window into what your engine is doing while you drive. Aimed at enthusiasts and curious drivers alike, it focuses on live sensor data, fault code reading and basic performance tracking.

Once paired with a compatible ELM327 Bluetooth adapter, the app pulls data directly from your vehicle’s ECU. You can view real‑time information such as RPM, coolant temperature, speed and fuel trims on a customizable dashboard filled with dials, graphs and digital readouts. The HUD mode is a standout bonus, projecting your speed onto the windshield at night for a simple heads‑up display.

For maintenance and troubleshooting, Torque Lite reads and clears standard engine fault codes, helping you understand why the check‑engine light is on and potentially saving you a visit to the garage. Basic logging lets you record trips and export logs in formats like CSV or KML for later analysis in mapping or spreadsheet tools.

Being the free/basic edition, it has clear limitations. Some of the more advanced performance metrics, diesel MPG calculations, turbo boost gauges and wider vehicle support are reserved for the paid version. The interface, while functional, looks a little dated and can feel overwhelming if you are new to OBD2 terminology. You will also need a reliable adapter; cheaper clones may cause connection issues or incomplete data.

Despite these constraints, Torque Lite is an excellent way to test compatibility with your car and get a solid taste of live diagnostics. For everyday monitoring and occasional troubleshooting, it delivers plenty of value at no cost.
