Sparkle TV is a polished IPTV and DVR player designed for those who want to bring structure and convenience to their live television streams. Rather than supplying channels itself, it acts as a versatile hub for content you already receive from an IPTV provider, over-the-air tuner (via HdHomeRun), or Jellyfin server.

The interface is clean and TV-friendly, with a grid-style electronic program guide (EPG) that feels immediately familiar. Support for common formats such as m3u, Xtream Codes and XMLTV means you can plug in most mainstream IPTV services without hassle. Once configured, channel zapping is snappy, and Auto Frame Rate helps keep motion smooth on compatible displays.

Sparkle TV stands out with its strong PVR features. Timeshift lets you pause and rewind live channels, while the built-in DVR allows you to schedule recordings for single programs or entire series, then watch them later from a dedicated library. Multiview mode is another highlight, letting you watch several streams at once – perfect for sports, news junkies, or anyone who likes to keep an eye on multiple events simultaneously.

There is a clear separation between the free and Plus experience. Essential playback works well in the base version, but many of the most attractive extras – favorites management, advanced sorting, timeshift, full DVR, multiview, and VOD tools – are reserved for the Plus upgrade. Power users will almost certainly want those.

On the downside, complete beginners may need a short learning curve, especially when dealing with playlists, EPG sources, and multiple providers.
