Echo makes instant voice playback fast, fun and crystal clear

Echo is a focused voice recorder that strips away complexity to deliver one thing exceptionally well: immediate playback of whatever you just said or played. Hold the record button, speak or play, release, and your sound is bounced straight back to you with virtually no delay.

This instant feedback loop is where Echo really shines. It works beautifully as a “sound mirror” for practicing a new language, rehearsing a speech, or polishing your singing and instrument technique. The optional echo effect adds a playful, spacious tone to your voice, making it great for lighthearted experiments or creative vocal textures.

Echo goes beyond a simple recorder by letting you layer sounds in real time. You can hit replay while a clip is already playing to stack audio on top of itself, or even record while listening to a previous take. The result can be anything from subtle harmonies to full-on sonic chaos, depending on how adventurous you feel.

Recordings are stored as uncompressed 16-bit, 44.1 kHz mono audio. This means the sound quality is impressively clean and detailed, but file sizes can grow quickly during longer sessions. You can mark takes with a blue star to save them to a dedicated recordings screen, then export them as external files and share them through email or messaging apps.

On the downside, Echo is intentionally minimal: there are no editing tools, multitrack timelines, or direct in-app sharing yet. If you need a full production studio, this isn’t it. But if your priority is hearing yourself back instantly in excellent quality, without ads or distractions, Echo is a delightfully efficient companion.
